Refund policy

Applies to purchases made on licknova.com. Nothing here limits your statutory rights under Irish/EU consumer law. If a clause conflicts with mandatory law, the law prevails.

How to start a return or claim

Email support@licknova.com with your order number and details/photos of the issue. We’ll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) with instructions.
Important: Parcels sent without an RMA or sufficient identification may be refused.

A) Physical Products

1) Custom T-Shirts & Apparel (made to order)

  • No change-of-mind returns: Custom/personalised items are not eligible for the 14-day cooling-off return.

  • Cancel/Change window: You may cancel or change your order within 12 hours of purchase. After 12 hours, items typically enter production and cannot be changed or cancelled.

  • Faulty/incorrect on arrival: Email us within 12 hours of delivery with clear photos of the item, the issue, the outer box + shipping label, and inner packaging. After verification, we’ll repair, replace, or refund.

  • Condition: Items showing wear, odors, stains, pet hair, missing tags, or alterations are not eligible for return/replacement unless faulty.

2) Ready-Made Physical Goods (non-custom, excluding paintings)

  • 14-day cooling-off returns apply. Notify us within 14 days of delivery that you wish to return, then ship back within 14 days of your notice.

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging with all tags. You are responsible for return shipping and must use a trackable method.

  • Proof of postage: Email a photo/scan of the postal receipt showing date & tracking the same day you hand the parcel to the carrier.

  • We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or receive acceptable proof of postage—whichever occurs first.

3) Paintings & Artwork

Custom/Commissioned pieces

  • No change-of-mind returns/cancellations once design or materials work begins. Where a deposit applies, we may retain a reasonable portion for time/materials already committed. We provide staged previews for approval.

Ready-made originals sold online (non-custom)

  • 14-day cooling-off applies. Notify us within 14 days of delivery, then ship back within 14 days of your notice. If the parcel is sent later than 14 days after your notice, we may refuse the refund in full.

  • Packaging & condition (strict): Must be returned in original, unbroken packaging, with all accessories and any Certificate of Authenticity.

    • Any hanging/display, frame swaps, exposure to smoke/sunlight/moisture, scratches, chips, missing COA, or damaged packaging = diminished value. We may deduct an appropriate amount or refuse the return if damage is substantial.

    • You may inspect as in a gallery; displaying for use goes beyond inspection and may incur deductions/refusal.

  • Costs: You pay return shipping, insurance for the full invoice value, and any customs/duties on the return.

  • Proof of postage: Use trackable, insured shipping and email a photo/scan of the receipt with date & tracking the same day you ship.

B) Digital Products & Services

4) Digital Products (delivered by email or secure link — no instant download at checkout)

  • Delivery method: We create/prepare your digital item and send it to you by email or a secure link once finished.

  • Final once work starts: If preparation/delivery has not started, you may cancel for a full refund. Once we start work or delivery preparation, the order becomes final and non-refundable, except where a file is defective (we will replace or re-deliver).

  • Redos/Revisions: Only if explicitly stated on the product page (e.g., “Includes 1 redo within 3 days”). If no redo is listed, no redos apply.

  • Notice: By placing an order for digital content, you instruct us to begin preparation and delivery without delay; once work starts, the order is non-refundable, except for defective files.

5) Photo Retouching (remote service)

  • Start of work: Begins after we receive your files/brief.

  • Cancellations: If work has not started, you can cancel for a full refund.

  • No refunds once work starts: After work has started, fees are non-refundable. If your package includes redos/revisions, we will honor exactly what is stated on the product page/quote; extra edits beyond scope may be billed.

6) On-Site Photography (booked date)

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date. If we cancel for any reason, the deposit is fully refunded.

  • Cancellations:

    • Within 12 hours of booking: You may cancel. The deposit remains non-refundable, but no further fees are due.

    • After 12 hours of booking (or no-show): All fees are non-refundable. If any balance remains unpaid, it may become immediately due on cancellation.

  • Reschedule: One complimentary reschedule with ≥7 days’ notice (subject to availability).

  • Weather/force majeure: We’ll reschedule at no extra cost.

C) Damages & Issues (on delivery)

Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us immediately if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can evaluate and make it right. Keep all packaging until your case is resolved.

D) Refunds — timing & method

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method after receipt and inspection of eligible returns (or after acceptable proof of postage as noted above).

  • Processing on our side: 3–5 business days. Your bank/card issuer may take 7–10 business days to post the credit.

E) Return shipping costs & risk

Unless we made an error, return shipping, insurance, customs, and duties are your responsibility. You are responsible for the goods until we receive them.

F) Anti-Abuse

We may limit or decline returns/refunds in cases of suspected abuse (e.g., repeated “not received” or “damaged on arrival” claims, chargeback misuse). Submitting false or misleading claims is fraud and may be reported.
